INSTrument:CREate:REPLace
<ChannelName1>,<ChannelType>,<ChannelName2>
This command replaces a measurement channel with another one.
Setting parameters:
<ChannelName1>
String containing the name of the measurement channel you
want to replace.
<ChannelType>
Channel type of the new channel.
For a list of available channel types see
<ChannelName2>
String containing the name of the new channel.
Note: If the specified name for a new channel already exists, the
default name, extended by a sequential number, is used for the
new channel (see
Example:
INST:CRE:REPL 'IQAnalyzer2',IQ,'IQAnalyzer'
Replaces the channel named "IQAnalyzer2" by a new measure-
ment channel of type "IQ Analyzer" named "IQAnalyzer".
Usage:
Setting only
INSTrument:DELete
<ChannelName>
This command deletes a measurement channel.
If you delete the last measurement channel, the default "Spectrum" channel is activa-
ted.
Parameters:
<ChannelName>
String containing the name of the channel you want to delete.
A measurement channel must exist in order to be able delete it.
Example:
INST:DEL 'IQAnalyzer4'
Deletes the channel with the name 'IQAnalyzer4'.
Usage:
Event
INSTrument:LIST?
This command queries all active measurement channels. This is useful in order to
obtain the names of the existing measurement channels, which are required in order to
replace or delete the channels.
Return values:
<ChannelType>,
<ChannelName>
For each channel, the command returns the channel type and
channel name (see tables below).
