USB Interfaces
2.6.1 Brightness
The brightness of the display can be changed by simple pressing the brightness up/down keys in normal
operational mode. If the maximal or minimal settings are reached the brightness up/down LED will light
up orange when the corresponding brightness up/down key is pressed. This indicates that the display
brightness can’t be changed any further.
2.7 Video signal inputs
The RD10 HB is equipped with the following video signal interfaces:
• RD-DVI (single link DVI signal) (primary)
• VGA(RGB) (primary)
The video source is selected automatically. Simultaneous operation with two different signal sources con-
nected is not provided.
2.8 Touch screen
The device is equipped with a 10” resistive 8 wire USB touch screen. The touch screen can be connected
and used with a PC via the RD-DVI interface and a dual link DVI cable (requires a device with RD-DVI inter-
face and a dual link DVI cable.). The accurateness of the touch input may decrease over time. To recalibrate
the touch screen run the calibration application (see chapter „5.2 Calibration“) to improve the handling of
the touch screen. If the touch screen is operated via RD-DVI make sure to use a dual link cable. The touch
screen can’t be operated via one of the 2 USB interfaces of the display.
2.9 Mouse/Trackball
On the front left of the F keys is the mouse trackball with left and right mouse button. The trackball is also
connected via USB and RD-DVI or Combo Port. The mouse/trackball function is according to the function
of any ordinary windows mouse. Pressing the trackball sensor into the desired direction will move the
mouse cursor accordingly.
2.10 USB Interfaces
The RD10 HB is equipped with an USB hub with 2 USB interfaces at the rear side to allow the use of ad-
ditional peripheral devices like USB keyboards or USB sticks.
The USB interfaces can’t be used to connect the touch screen or trackball to any external PC or notebook.
The touch screen and trackball can only be connected via RD-DVI.
Attention:
If the signal source uses a dual link DVI signal use a single link DVI cable to connect it
to the RD10 HB in order to avoid damage.
