Assembly
1. Assemble the frame as shown in the Exploded
Frame Assembly.
2. Cut a 24" x 48" piece out of material at least 3/4" thick.
We recommend 24" wide to match the width of the
Aluminum Ramp. If you want a smaller top, it should be
a minimum of 19
3
⁄
8
" x 30".
3. Position the Aluminum Ramp on the top of the material,
along one of the shorter edges, with the curve extending
down. Make sure it overlaps the top evenly by about
1
1
⁄
2
" and mark the screw locations.
4. Drill stopped pilot holes at the marked locations, but
don’t attach the Aluminum Ramp at this point.
Aluminum Ramp will be attached in step 9. If desired,
a rabbet can be machined into the top so that the
Aluminum Ramp will seat flush to the top’s surface.
Be sure NOT to overtighten the Hex
Bolt, or the mechanism might not pivot correctly.
If you choose to rabbet your material:
make sure the rabbet is not deeper than the thickness
of the Aluminum Ramp to avoid workpieces catching
or potentially binding which can lead to serious
personal injury or property damage.
