DEVICE CLEANING
* Pull the mains plug out of the socket before you empty the dust container or clean the fi lters.
* Empty the dust container regularly. The dust container must be emptied at the latest when the dust in the
dust container has reached the MAX mark.
* The fi lters must be cleaned regularly in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
* Under no circumstances should you clean the HEPA fi lter with water! You should only ever use a brush or
a dry cloth.
* The dust container and all fi lters must be completely dry before you insert them again and use or store
away the device.
* Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the vacuum cleaner housing.
These could damage the surface.
Emptying the Dust Container
1. Hold down the release button on the handle of the dust container
and detach the dust container from the vacuum cleaner.
2. Hold the dust container over a dustbin and press the release
button to open the bottom fl ap of the dust container.
3. Carefully tap out the dust container.
4. Then close the bottom fl ap of the dust container. It must engage
audibly.
5. For more thorough cleaning of the dust container, the fi lter unit
can be removed from the dust container. There is therefore
an arrow mark on the side of the dust container (see picture).
6. If the fi lter unit is inserted correctly in the dust container, the
upper arrow points towards the lower arrow of the closed
lock symbol (see picture).
7. To remove the fi lter unit, turn the dust container lid until the
upper arrow points towards the lower arrow of the open lock
symbol.
8. Pull the fi lter unit up and out.
9. Clean the dust container and the fi lter unit if necessary
with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Then
wipe with a dry cloth.
10. Make sure when cleaning that the HEPA fi lter does
not get wet. You can read about how to clean the
HEPA fi lter in the next «Cleaning the HEPA Filter»
section.
