• Vent m u st exit b u ilding not less than 7' (2 m)
abo v e grade w hen located adjacent to p u blic
w alk w ays.
• Vent m u st terminate at least 3' (1 m) abo v e any
forced air inlet located w ithin 10' (3 m).
• Vent m u st terminate at least 4' (1.2 m) belo w 4'
(1.2 m) horizontally from or 12" (30 cm) abo v e any
door, w indo w or gra v ity air inlet into b u ilding.
• Locate v ent terminal at least 12" (30 cm) from
any opening thro u gh w hich v ent gases co u ld
enter a b u ilding.
• Use only corrosion resistant materials for the
discharge line from the p u mp to the point of
discharge.
• Vent terminal opening m u st extend beyond any
comb u stible o v erhang.
• Install v ent terminal at a height s u fficient to
pre v ent blockage by sno w .
• Protect b u ilding materials from degradation by
fl u e gases.
• Any portion of fl u e pipe passing thro u gh a
comb u stible w all m u st be d u al ins u lated and an
appro v ed thimble m u st be u sed.

9.5 Vertical Ventin g
If u sing v ent lengths greater than 20' (6 m),
condensation w ill form in the v ent pipe. Ins u lation
and additional sealing meas u res w ill be req u ired.
Length of fl u e pipe is eq u al to total of v ertical and
horizontal length. Seal all discharge pipe joints w ith
high temperat u re silicone adhesi v e. Vertical v enting
for CRVSF systems is not recommended.
9.6 Ventin g Accessories
NOTE: 4" (10 cm) accessories may only be u sed on
the inlet side of the EP-301 p u mp.
