SECTION 8: MOTOR WIRING
All w iring m u st comply w ith c u rrent w iring reg u lations
and any local reg u lations w hich may apply. Al w ays
s w itch off the s u pply and disconnect before ser v icing.
8.1 Impeller Rotation Direction
Prior to operation of the p u mp in the heating system,
operation and proper rotation of the impeller m u st be
v erified. See impeller rotation direction arro w label on
the p u mp scroll for the correct rotation direction. For
re v erse rotation, follo w man u fact u rer's w iring diagram
located on motor.
The motor m u st be w ired for clock w ise or co u nterclock-
w ise rotation as sho w n on w iring diagram located on
motor.
IMPORTANT: Improper rotation of the impeller w ill
not prod u ce the v ac uu m req u ired for proper system
operation.
8.2 EP-301 Wirin g
The EP-301 motor is w ired for 1 Ø, 230 V, 60 Hz
operation. For proper motor w iring, follo w man u fac-
t u rer's w iring diagram located on motor.

Do not directly connect the controller relay terminals to
the p
u mp motor.
The power to the EP-301 pump is not supplied
by the controller. Power is supplied by a
separate circuit and is switched by the controller
via a contactor with a 120 V AC coil.

8.3 EP-303 Wirin g
The EP-303 motor can be w ired for 3 Ø,
208 V - 230 V/460 V, 60 Hz operation. For proper
motor

located on motor.
Do not directly connect the controller relay terminals to
