IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
USE RESPONSIBLY
The use of earphones can decrease your situational awareness and your chances
of hearing life-saving sounds. Please use your earphones responsibly. Do not use
earphones in any environment where your full attention to your surroundings is
required, such as operating a motor vehicle or crossing the street.
It is dangerous to drive while wearing earphones. Please do not wear our earphones
while driving. Doing so will decrease your ability to hear life-saving sounds outside
your vehicle, such as children playing, another car’s horn or emergency vehicle sirens.
LISTEN RESPONSIBLY
Listening at high volume levels for long periods of time can cause hearing damage.
Before placing the earphones in your ears, make sure that the volume on your music
player is turned down, then gradually increase the volume until you reach a comfortable
listening level. Volume levels are measured in decibels (dB). Hearing loss is a function
of high dB loudness over time. The greater the dB loudness, the less time you can listen
to it. The lower the dB loudness, the more time you can listen to it. Do not listen at high
dB volume levels for long periods of time.
The following table compares some common sounds and their decibels (dB) volume
level. Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB. Exposure to any noise at or above 85
dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

PERMANENT HEARING LOSS MAY OCCUR IF EARPHONES OR HEADPHONES ARE
USED AT EXCESSIVE VOLUME LEVELS. EXPOSURE TO NOISE FROM EARPHONES
OR HEADPHONES IN EXCESS OF 85 DECIBELS FOR MORE THAN 8 HOURS A DAY
WILL LIKELY CAUSE IRREPARABLE HEARING DAMAGE. YOUR EARS MAY ADAPT
TO HIGHER VOLUME LEVELS OVER TIME, WHICH MAY SOUND NORMAL, BUT
THESE HIGHER VOLUME LEVELS CAN PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR HEARING.
YOU ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR HEARING DAMAGE RESULTING FROM THE
UNSAFE USE ABOVE 85 DECIBELS FROM OUR EARPHONES.
IN ADDITION, SOME RESEARCH HAS SUGGESTED A POSSIBLE LINK BETWEEN
THE USE OF WIRELESS ELECTRONIC DEVICES CLOSE TO THE HEAD AND BRAIN
DAMAGE OR OTHER SERIOUS AND POTENTIALLY LIFE-THREATENING MEDICAL
CONDITIONS. YOU ACCEPT ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL SUCH
DAMAGE AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT MAY RESULT FROM THE USE OF
EARPHONES OR HEADPHONES. ROAM, INC. SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY
SUCH DAMAGE OR MEDICAL CONDITIONS.
