this mode. When the shade is closed the light will go out and the battery will charge
normally.
The LEDs produce a light that is very similar to daylight and some people find reading
with this type of light much easier. Because of the daylight effect colours under the
light appear very much as they would do in natural daylight.
The charge indicator explained
Your light is fitted with a useful charge indicator to show the charge status of the
battery.
Please note:
The charge indicator will only operate when the power unit is connected
to the light.
The colours indicate the following:
Red – the battery is low and needs charging. The light may only operate for a short
time.
Green – the battery is fully charged and will operate for up to 6 hours.
Please note:
You may stop charging at any time and use the light but the running time
will be reduced.
Replacing the battery
Some sighted assistance may be required when changing the battery.
The light is supplied with a 12V 2.6AH maintenance-free, sealed lead acid battery. The
battery can be re-charged approximately 800 times before it needs to be changed.
Caution:
The battery should only be replaced with one of the same type and rating
otherwise you could damage your light and invalidate your guarantee. Batteries can be
obtained from your local Daylight™ stockist – code D68020
