Remote – Turning this on enables remote mode. This allows more than one Mastermind GT to be connected together
and have them all synchronized together. Refer to the Remote Mode section for more information.
MIDI Merge – When set to “On”, all MIDI messages that are received through the Remote In or USB B ports are
retransmitted through the MIDI Out port.
MIDI Clock – Determines whether the Mastermind GT acts as a MIDI clock “Master” or “Slave”. Setting this parameter to
“None” (the default) disables MIDI clock support. See the Tap Tempo and MIDI Clock section for more details.
Sysex Messsages Menu
The Mastermind GT allows you to define 127 Sysex (System Exclusive) messages, which can be sent by any IA button or
preset. These messages can be up to 16 bytes in length, and can contain any valid MIDI data.
When you select the Sysex Messages menu, you will be shown a list of all Sysex messages. Select one to begin editing.
The message can be given a name with the Name option. Then, use the Add Byte option to enter the first byte in the
message. Each byte of data is specified in hexadecimal, where digits are in the range 0-9 and A-F. You can add up to 16
bytes to a message. Selecting an already defined byte allows you to edit or delete the byte.
Edit Macros Menu
The Mastermind GT allows you to define 128 macros. A macro is a sequence of up to 32 actions that can be called by
any IA button or preset. This allows you to reuse a sequence of actions in multiple locations, or to have more actions on
a button than is normally possible.
When you select the Edit Macros menu, you will be shown a list of all macros. Select one to begin editing. Each macro
allows you to edit the following:
Name – Allows you to edit the macro’s name
Force State – Allows you to use a specific state (on or off) when running the macro. For more information on this, see
the Macros section of the Other Special Features chapter.
Force State To – Determines which state should be used when running the macro. This parameter is only visible if
Force State is turned on.
Macro Actions – Press this to edit the list of actions for this macro. The editing process is the same as described in the
Action Edit section.
