GPS navigators rely on the quality of navigation software and maps, and the com-

plex interaction between then. The Route Profile setting determines the routing.

The Quickest Route setting relies on fast roads such as interstates and highways.

This is not necessarily the shortest route. The Shortest Route setting relies on the

shortest distance between two points, which may or may not be the fastest.
