5. Image Quality Problem: Lines

Streaks

Horizontal White Streaks

White streaks of 1 to 8 mm (0.04 to 0.3 inches) long and perpendicular to the paper feed direction
appear.

CEZ604

Cause:

One of the charge rollers is stained.

Solution:

To identify the affected color, print three full-page, solid-fill A3 or DLT sheets for each of
white and black, and three full-page, halftone A3 or DLT sheets for each of cyan,
magenta, and yellow.

Detach the charge unit of the affected color and wipe the charge roller with a dry cloth to
remove the stain.

Print the image. Has the problem been resolved?

Yes

Finished!

Replace the charge unit.
