Home Position Error

Symptom:

This error is detected when the home position sensor cannot detect the first
scanner.

Possible Causes:

•

  Defective scanner motor

•

  Damaged cable between the scanner motor and the IOB

•

  Defective IOB

•

  Defective home position sensor

•

  Damaged cable between the home position sensor and the IOB

Procedure:

Does the home position sensor work? Check it with sensor test mode. (See See
Service Level Functions – Dip Switch Settings.)

Does 5 volts reach the sensor?
Yes

No
Is the cable between the home position sensor
and the IOB OK?
Yes

No
Replace the cable.

Replace the PSU.

Replace the sensor.

Is the drive wire OK?
Yes

No
Replace it.

Does 24 volts reach the scanner motor?
Yes

No
Is the cable between the motor and the IOB damaged?
Yes

No
Replace the IOB.

Replace the cable.

Replace the scanner motor.
