The F40 is Y2K compliant. One minute after 11:59 on December 31
st
, 1999, the value of
the machine clock will be 00:00, with a year value of 00 and a month value of 01.
However, if the data in the RAM is deleted due to machine problems or by the technician
in SP mode, it will not be possible to enter the 2-digit year value for the year 2000 or
beyond (e.g. 00, 01, 02…). If the RAM data is erased, please follow the instructions written
below.
In SP mode no. 80 (Machine Clock Set):
After inputting the date (NA: mm-dd-yy, EU/Asia: dd-mm-yy), enter the correct time and
day of the week. For the year, please enter any 2-digit value from 91-99. The weekly timer
will run correctly as long as the time and day of the week have been properly entered.
Please note that the machine clock is displayed and adjusted from within the SP mode
only. The customer can only view the weekly timer (i.e. the day of the week and timer
ON/OFF times). Therefore, even if the year value in the machine clock is not the actual
year, it will not result in any customer claims.
