Shooting Functions

This section explains the various shooting functions. The
functions that can be used vary depending on the recording
mode. Refer to the table below.

This camera offers four flash modes. Choose the mode best
suited to the shooting conditions.

• The default setting is

(Flash Off).

Flash Off

The flash will not fire under any

circumstances.

No display

Auto

The flash fires automatically in

low light and backlit

conditions.

Lit

Forced Flash The flash always fires

regardless of the brightness.

Blinking

Slow Synchro

The flash fires and illuminates

the subject while the slow

shutter speed exposes the

background. It prevents only

the background appearing dark

when the flash fires.
