Before You Start Recording
This section explains how to make the various camera settings,
such as setting the date and time, adjusting the focus and
capturing the subject.
Follow the procedure below to set the date and time. You will
need to adjust these settings when you first use the camera
and when you wish to change the preset date and time.

Set the mode dial to [ ].

Press the or button to select
[DATE SETTING] and press the
button.

Press the or button to highlight
the item you wish to adjust and press

or button to change the digit.

Press the ENTER button.
Setting the Date and Time
How to verify the date and time
The preset date and time are displayed on the LCD
monitor in recording mode.

• The date and time that you
set here are used as the
camera data (shooting date
and time).
• The time is displayed in the
24-hour clock format.
Midnight is expressed as
00:00 and noon as 12:00.

• The date and time will be
reset if the camera is left
without the battery for over
20 days, such as when
replacing the battery. If this
occurs, set the date and time
