General Settings Tab
The
General Settings
tab displays and allows the user to modify settings in the parameters of
General Settings

Scale
Low Resolution Camera

Display Page
and
Disk Finder
.
General Settings
The
General Settings
parameters and how the settings in each affect system functionality are described below.
Parameter

Auto Trigger
Flats
This parameter determines whether the capture (dimensions, weight and image) is
automatically triggered for items classified as flats. Flats are items with a height less
than or equal to the value specified by the
Flat/Parcel Threshold
. When switched
On
, the capture process will be initiated as soon as a flat item is placed in the
Zone
of Interest
, the item is stable (no movement is detected by the
iDimension 100
) and,
if a scale is present, a stable weight has been received from the connected scale.

Auto Trigger
Parcels
This parameter determines whether the capture (dimensions, weight and image ) is
automatically triggered for items clasified as parcels. Parcels are items with a height
greater than the value specified by the
Flat/Parcel Threshold
. When switched

the capture process will be initiated as soon as a parcel item is placed in the
Zone of
Interest

a scale is present, a stable weight has been received from the connected scale.

Flat
Detection
This parameter determines whether the system will process or ignore items classified
as
Flats
. If it is set to
Off
, it will override
Auto Trigger Flats
and any capture
definitions.

Irregular
Shape
Object
This parameter determines whether the system will process or ignore items classified
as an
Irregular Shape
. If set to
Off
irregular shaped objects will be ignored and no
data will be returned.
Default: Off
Valid Values: On/Off
Flat/Parcel
Threshold
(in/mm)
This parameter sets the maximum height of what should be considered a flat
The measurement units are dependent upon the Certification
Settings. See Section 2.2.2 on page 20.
Default: 1.2 in (30 mm)
Valid Values: 1.2 in to 2 in
(30 mm to 50 mm)
Self recovery
This parameter determines the desired action in the event of a critical error.
Restarting will restart the service on the
iDimension 100
. A reboot will reboot the full
operating system on the device.
Default: Off
Valid Values: Off/Restart/
Reboot
