Adjust the chain tension.
•
Restore the chain sprocket cover onto the tool, then turn the wingnut clockwise to secure the
cover.

Tensioning the saw chain

Check the chain tension regularly during operation and re-adjust, if necessary.
•
Switch off the tool and remove the battery.
•
Turn the wingnut (4) by two turns anti-clockwise.
•
Move the guide bar to the left or right until the drive links are half inserted into the groove at
the underside of the guide bar. See Fig. 7.
•
Tighten the wingnet by hand to secure the chain sprocket cover.

Lubricating the saw chain and guide bar
•
Switch off the tool and remove the battery.
•
Rest the tool on a level surface with the sprocket cover facing up.
•
Clean the guide bar and saw chain with a soft brush.
•
Apply multifunctional oil in lubricating area between guide bar and saw chain. See Fig. 8.
•
Install the battery.
•
Switch on the tool for 10s, allow the oil dispersed on the saw chain.
