INTRODUCTION

The SM72 rotary mower is designed to be operated on skid steer power units. These rugged Mowers are
designed for medium-duty work and are related to cut vegetation up to 2” in diameter.

The mower is equipped with a HEIGHT LIMITING CHAIN, RUBBER DEFLECTOR, and
DOUBLE CHAIN GUARDS to protect the operator from thrown objects. The height limiting
chain must be securely attached to the front of the skid steer chassis. When attaching the
chain, the skid steer must be completely shut down, its parking brake set, and the mower
lowered to ground level. DO NOT operate the mower if the chain, deflector, or chain guards
are missing or are not secured to the skid steer chassis.

Mower Orientation: Front and rear, and left and right are determined by the normal direction of travel (the
same as your automobile).

The Power Unit must be equipped with an Operator Front Protective Door. Serious injury
or death can result from a thrown object hitting an unprotected operator. Contact the
Power Unit manufacturer or an authorized dealer for this protective feature. Always wear
protective clothing including safety glasses and hearing protection when operating this
mower.
