
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Troubleshooting should be performed by experienced Video/Lighting Technicians. This troubleshooting
section does not cover every scenario, but does cover common problems. Troubleshooting this system is
similar to troubleshooting any Video Lighting system, start from the source and work your way through
each component and cable eliminating working components and cable.
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
SOLUTION
Some LEDs are working, some are
not.
Bad string.
Bad LED.
Replace string.
Refer to warranty for replace-
ment.
Entire string is not working.
Bad string.
Bad connection to leader cable.
Bad connection to multi- cable or
Break-In/Out.
Check all power connections.
Check for low voltage.
Erratic flashing LEDs/strings.
Possible network loop.
Bad connection to multi- cable or
Break-In/Out.
Refer to page # for proper net-
working connections.
Check all power connections.
No picture on panel.
Wrong source is selected on the
Video System Manager (VSM).
Wrong output is selected on the
source computer.
Make sure the proper input is
selected on the Video System
Manger (VSM), i.e., DVI, VGA.
To verify the Video System Man-
ager (VSM) is working correctly,
run through the test patterns.
Make sure the correct output is
selected on the source computer.
Image is not in the correct place
on the panel(s).
Mapping is incorrect.
Check mapping on Video System
Manager (VSM).
