Testing the System

Test ST750 and sensor pad for proper
operation before each use and inspect for any
si
gn
s of damage or excessive wear.
Bed Mode/Chair Mode
1. Plug the (optional) AC adapter into an outlet, or
insert (3) AA alkaline batteries. Plug the sensor
cable into the ST750 sensor input jack.
2. Place weight on the sensor pad for more than 3
seconds to see if the Green LED starts blinking.
This will automatically activate the ST750.
If the LED does not blink:
•

Make sure the AC adapter power cord is
securely plugged in.
Make sure the sensor pad cord is securely
plugged in.
3. Remove the weight. Make sure the Red LED starts
blinking and the alarm sounds.
NOTE:
If using batteries, ensure that the Low
battery LED is not flashing. If so, replace the
batteries as soon as possible.
4. Press the Hold button to pause the alarm.
5. Re-apply weight to the sensor pad.
6. Press the Hold button again to resume monitoring.

Alarm will not sound if the volume switch is
set to LIS and nurse call cord is connected.
Floor Mode
1. Plug the (optional) AC adapter into an outlet, or
insert (3) AA alkaline batteries. Plug the sensor
cable into the ST750 floor sensor jack. The Green
LED starts blinking.
If the LED does not blink:
•
Make sure the AC adapter power cord is
securely plugged in.
•
Make sure the sensor pad cord is securely
plugged in.
2. Place weight on the sensor pad. Make sure the Red
LED starts blinking and the alarm sounds.
3. Press the Hold button to stop the alarm.
4. Press the Hold button again to reset the alarm.

Troubleshooting
Sensor Pad Cannot Detect Movement
When the sensor pad cannot detect the patient's
movement because she/he is too lightweight:
•
Try placing the sensor in another position. The
weight range for the sensor pad is
>
25lbs.
No Alarm Sounds from the ST750
When no alarm sounds to alert caregivers when a patient
tries to leave the bed or chair:
•

Check whether the batteries are installed when using
the ST750 without an AC adapter.
Make sure the alarm volume is set properly. The
alarm does not make any sound locally when the
volume is set to LIS and connected to the nurse call
system.
Check if the sensor pad is placed in the proper
position.
Check if all the cables and plugs are properly
plugged in.
Test the ST750 and sensor pad for proper operation
and check to see if there are any si
gn
s of damage or
excessive wear. Please contact the distributor for
replacement if any damage is found.
Alarm Sounds While Patient is Still in Bed
When an alarm sounds to alert caregivers while a patient
is still in bed or chair:

Set the alarm time delay properly.
Check if the ST750 and sensor pad are working
properly. (See
Testing the System
for detail).
Make sure the cable is not damaged .
No Alarm Sounds at Nurse Call Station
When an alarm sounds to alert caregivers from the ST750
but not at the nurse call station:
•
Make sure the ST750 is connected properly to the
nurse call system.
•
Make sure there are no si
gn
s of damage to the
sensor pad or the ST750.
•
•
Make sure the AC adapter is working properly .
Make sure there are no signs of damage to the
nurse call cord or the cable connecting the
nurse call system.
