4.  Remove two vertical pieces of woven gasket and leave horizontal gasket pieces still attached to vent pipe side 

of opening.

5.  On end of heater opposite burner, remove screw—using flat-head screwdriver—at bottom center of large outer 

door panel (see 

Figure 20

, DETAIL A).

6.  Remove large outer door panel—while supporting it—by lifting upward and outward on handle. Access door cover 

(see 

Figure 20

, DETAIL B) is now in view.

7.  Remove nuts that secure access door cover and pull cover directly forward off welded studs. Combustion chamber 

and heat exchanger passages (see 

Figure 20

, DETAIL C) are now in view.

8.  Remove woven gasket material.
