Recommended
: To prevent unwanted alarms, notify the Central Station that the
smoke detector system is undergoing maintenance before cleaning the detector.
To clean the detector, carefully vacuum the side vents all the way around, then,
wipe them with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Do NOT attempt to take the detector apart. This could result in damaging the unit.
