Chapter Three: Watching and Recording Television

Theme-based channels

Guaranteed Theme-based channels are configured to hold a specific amount of program-
ming (1/2 hour, 2 hours, etc.). Twenty-four hours after being recorded, the oldest program
will be recycled to make room for a new program when the channel is full.

Non-guaranteed Theme-based channels behave exactly like guaranteed Theme-based
channels except:

Non-guaranteed Theme-based channels will not record if recording space does not
permit.

Non-guaranteed Theme-based channels will be recycled if a guaranteed recording
needs space.
