10 • Cleaning and maintenance
10.1 • General
Do not use sprays, abrasives, dish washing detergents, solvents or cleaning agents that contain
chlorine. These may damage the unit. Clean the Endura
®
Twist with a damp cloth and some
solvent-free soap.
10.2 • Inspection
Have malfunctions and damage that might compromise safety rectified immediately by a qualified
electrician.
• If you notice something unusual on your device, contact your installer.
• Check if the installation conditions are still in accordance with regulations: the Endura
®
Twist
should NOT be placed in rooms where the following are present or may occur:
− Excessively fat-laden atmosphere
− Corrosive or flammable gases, liquids or vapours
− Room air temperature above 40°C or lower than -5°C
− Relative humidity higher than 90%, or outdoor installation
10.3 • Maintenance
• The Endura
®
Twist should be cleaned at least 1 x per year by a competent installer.
• Turn the fuse off to ensure that the unit is no longer live. Ensure that this has actually happened
by measurement.
• Both the regenerator and the fan modules must then be removed from the Endura
®
Twist. For
this purpose, depending on the type (airflow upwards/airflow downwards or downwards with
plaster profile), first open the hinged front profile or else remove the inner profile at the bottom.

• The regenerator modules must first be vacuum cleaned. In case of stubborn dirt, they can
be rinsed in lukewarm water until all soiling has been removed or can be washed in the
dishwasher at max. 60°C. It is important that the regenerators are completely dry before they
are put back into the unit.
• Then the fan modules must be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Please use only non-corrosive
and non-abrasive cleaning agents, and then a slightly moist cloth with only pure water. Wipe
the fan modules dry with a dry cloth.
• Finally, the entire inside of the Endura
®
Twist must be vacuum cleaned and cleaned with a
slightly damp cloth. Again, first use a non-abrasive and non-corrosive cleaning agent and then
a slightly damp cloth with only pure water. Wipe the fan modules completely dry with a cloth
before replacing the fan modules.
• On the outside of the Endura
®
Twist, leaves and other soiling must be removed first. The
outside (rain cover, aluminium profiles) must be cleaned with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive
cleaning agent and then with a slightly damp cloth with only pure water.
