8. Operation

a)  Inserting/changing the battery

Insert the battery before using the metal detector for the first time. Follow the steps below:

•  To insert the battery, remove the cover from the battery compartment (11) on the top of the handle. Slide the cover 

in the direction of the arrow.

•  Insert a 9 V block battery (not included) into the battery compartment (11) in the correct polarity (observe the 

po and negative/- markings on the device).

•  Slide the battery compartment cover back into place and ensure that the locking mechanism clicks into place.

  To replace the battery, remove the old battery and follow the steps above.

•  The battery life with a high-quality, fully charged alkaline battery is approximately 24 hours.
• 

Replace the battery as soon as the LED indicator (4) stops working when the metal detector is switched on.
