Water level indicator
The water level indicator (
FULL
) lights up when the water tank is full or
if the water tank was not inserted correctly. The dehumidifier turns itself
off or does not turn on. You will hear a short beep.
On/off button with LED (
POWER
)
The power LED turns green after the power cable has been plugged in.
Pressing the button turns the dehumidifier on. Pressing it again turns the
appliance off.
Timer button with LED (
TIMER
)
Briefly press this button to display the time remaining on the current
timer. The timer button sets the time after which the dehumidifier will
turn itself off. The LED turns green as soon as a switch-off time has been
programmed. It turns off after this time has elapsed or when the user
turns off the dehumidifier. The set value is shown on the LED display.
The LED display shows the current humidity when the appliance is
dehumidifying. When setting a switch-off time (timer) or switch-off
humidity, the LED display shows the corresponding values to be set.
Humidistat button (
SETTINGS
)
The humidistat button sets the humidity at which the dehumidifier turns
itself off. The green on/off LED stays on.
The switch-off humidity can be set from 40-80% in increments of 5%. The
set value is shown on the LED display.
Fan button (
SPEED
)
The fan button toggles the fan speed.
The green LED indicates the low fan speed; the red LED indicates the
high fan speed.
b) Dehumidifying
1.
Remove the water tank (7) from the back of the appliance.
2.
Take the mains cable out (8) and unroll it.
3. Feed the mains cable upwards and push it into the cable clamp (10).
4.
Slide the water tank back into the housing until it you hear it click into place.
5.
Position the dehumidifier near to a mains socket. Be sure to leave a gap of at least
20 cm from any obstacles (e.g. walls, furniture).
6.
Plug the power cable into the mains socket. The dehumidifier is now ready to use.
The power LED above the on/off button turns green.
7.
Open the air outlet (2) with your hands and set the desired direction.
8.
Press the on/off button to turn on the dehumidifier.
When the dehumidifier is turned on again shortly after turning off
(automatically or manually), it starts in fan mode only to protect the
refrigerant compressor. For safety reasons, the compressor turns on again
after a few minutes.
9.
The dehumidifier emits a short beep signal and turns on with a low fan speed. The
humidity setting is set at 60%; this is shown on the LED display. Press the on/off
button
again to turn it off.
Never turn the dehumidifier off by simply removing the power cable from the
mains.
10.
After the switch-off humidity is reached, the dehumidifier will turn itself off
automatically. It will turn on again as soon as the humidity in the room rises above
this value.
c) Continued use
For continued use or longer periods of operation, ensure that the condensate is
continually discharged. You can connect the discharge hose (not shown under
Operating elements) included with the dehumidifier if you require the constant
discharge of condensate.
1.
Turn off the dehumidifier and disconnect the mains plug.
2.
Remove the water tank (7).
3. Remove the hose input cap (9) using a tool (e.g. cutter, knife) if necessary.
4.
Insert the discharge hose included with the dehumidifier into the hose inlet and
connect it to the water drainage outlet; secure it with a suitable clamp if necessary
(not included).
5.
Run the hose at a slight gradient into a connecting drain, e.g. outside a room or
into a plughole.
6.
Slide the water tank back into the device.
If operated at a room temperature of 5-12 °C, the dehumidifier will turn itself
off every 30 minutes to defrost; at temperatures of 12-20 °C the defrost
interval is 45 minutes.
Maintenance and cleaning
a)
General
• Turn the product off before cleaning or maintenance work and remove the mains
plug from the socket.
• The product does not require maintenance except for occasional cleaning. For
cleaning, use a soft, anti-static and lint-free cloth.
• Ensure that no water gets into the interior of the device.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning materials, as these could damage the
plastic parts of the product.
b) Emptying the water tank
• If the water tank is full, the device turns off automatically and the

water
level indicator turns red.
• Pull the water tank out of the housing from behind, empty it and insert it back into
the device.
c)
Cleaning the dust filter
• Never operate the machine without a dust filter!
• Clean the filter with the utmost care to avoid damaging it.
• Depending on the operating conditions, the dust filter should be cleaned every 4
weeks.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning materials as these could destroy the
filter.
• Pull the dust filter frame (4) upwards and out of the appliance. If necessary, remove
the activated carbon filter (see section "Inserting and replacing the activated carbon
filter"), as it is not washable. Do not forget to insert the activated carbon filter before
clicking the clean dust filter back into place.
• Clean the dust filter with a soft brush, blow it with compressed air or wash it
carefully with water. Let the filter dry completely.
• Fully reinsert the dry dust filter frame into the dehumidifier; it cannot be inserted
correctly if it is not positioned properly.
d)
Inserting and replacing the activated carbon filter
• An activated carbon filter must be replaced after approximately 1-2 years.
• To replace the filter, remove the dust filter frame (4) as described in the section
"Cleaning the dust filter".
• Carefully remove the dust filter from the outer frame. The activated carbon filter is
now ready to be removed.
• Remove the old activated carbon filter and replace it with a new one.
• Put the cleaned dust filter on top of the activated carbon filter and click it back into
the outer frame.
