Can the customer use the

Yes, the customer receives the installation program
as a ZIP file. As a result, the SIMPLEX sliceware

What requirements must a
PC meet for downloading
our printware, firmware, and
sliceware?

Currently the sliceware is only available for Win

dows 7 or higher.
Registration with the Renfert
CONNECT app.

To get the software package (SIMPLEX slice

ware, SIMPLEX print, and the latest version of the
SIMPLEX firmware), the customer must download
the Renfert CONNECT app from the app store. After
registration with the serial number, the customer re
-
ceives an email with a link to download the software.
•
This process is described in Chapter 9 of the in

structions for use.
Connectivity of the Renfert

The SIMPLEX printer and the CONNECT app can

not communicate directly with each other due to
different software languages.

No notifications (e.g., print stop) are sent via the

How many models can be
printed on average using one
reel?

On average, 40 - 50 models depending on the size
and type of model.
Can the models be cleaned
using acetone?
•
Over time, acetone degrades PLA. If briefly wiped
with acetone, models become matt.
Process for replacing fila

ments.

If TEMP1 or TEMP2 filament is used, the filament
must always be loaded or unloaded using TEMP2
settings.

Does every filament have an
expiry date and storage con

ditions?
•
Our filament does not have an expiry date, but it
should be stored in a closed container and dark
location with silica gel in order to protect the filament
against damp.
Is it possible to bond SIM-
PLEX filament models?
• Yes

Using fast-acting adhesive can cause white spots
to develop.

Hot-melt adhesive:
Ensure that the resin begins to soften from
60 - 70 ºC. It must be ensured that the areas to be
bonded do not become too hot.

Why is a different filament re

quired for a study model than
for a working model?
•
The only difference between the SIMPLEX study
model and the SIMPLEX working model is the color.
Otherwise, the filament is the same.
•
Why do we offer customers two colors? In orthodon
-
tics, study or diagnostic models are primarily white.
These are used for planning and for communication
with the patient.
The appliances are fabricated by technicians on the
working model. Working on a white model is tiring
for the eyes.
Green has a calming effect and feels natural. The
green shade has proven its worth for fatigue-free vi
-
sion and work. That's why we chose a green shade
for working models.
