RENA Address Printer
612s(Ei1)_Operations Rev: 5/12/03
35
off = the paper transport will continue to feed, even after the job is
completed and or even if the printer runs out of material.
TEST ADDRESS
Select test address 1 or 2.
AUTO PAP SPEED
on = printer will automatically try to determin optimum paper feed speed
based on print quality, amount and type of data being sent.
80% = same as “off“ except the speed is reduced by 20%.
60% = same as “off“ except the speed is reduced by 40%.
off = max feed speed.
When “on“ is selected, you will notice that the printer will start out slowly
and the transport speed will ramp-up untill the optimum paper speed has
been calculated and achieved.
If the printer is unable to process the data in time for the image to be
printed, it will stop and display “Reduce Paper Speed: START to
continue!“. In this case, please try the settings: on, 80% and 60% to see
which one will work best with your application.
TIP!
If the printer feeds very slowly, you may have forgoten to set and
“local lock“ the paper size.
AUTO RECOVERY
off = no head recovery image is printed.
1
st
= a head recovery image is prined on the first piece, at the beginning
of every print job, in order to clear the cartridge nozzles.
INK CONSUMPT
(ink consumption calculation)
exac (exact) = “% of ink“ count is based on e very dot that fires.
Calculation is done and the display (% of ink) is updated after printing
each individual record.
appr (approximate) = “% of ink“ count is based on counting number of
dots fired in last record; multiplied by the total number of records printed.
Since this calculation is only performed whenever there is a pause in
printing (out of paper, off line, etc), selecting “appr“ can free up
processing time, which may increase throughput.
SERVICE

Displays the Flashware version (revision) that is currently installed in the
printer.
