Troubleshooting
PROBLEM

CAUSE
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
A light flash
is not emit-
ted when
I press the
FLASH
BUTTON.
The SKIN
CONTACT
SENSORS are
not in full
contact with
the skin.
Check that both SKIN CONTACT SENSORS are
touching your skin. The Remington iLIGHT device
won’t work unless it’s flat against your skin. See
steps 2b-2f in Figure 3 for this situation.
You have not
waited enough
time between
flashes for the
Remington iLIGHT
bulb to recover.
The Remington iLIGHT device requires 3 sec-
onds to recover between flashes. When the
device is ready to flash (and assuming the SKIN
CONTACT SENSORS are flush against the skin),
the device will emit three “BEEPS” to confirm
that it is ready to flash. See steps 2b-2f in
Figure 3 for this situation.
The
REPLACEMENT
CARTRIDGE
needs to be
replaced. You
should see the
Light Bulb flash-
ing YELLOW.
Make sure that the CARTRIDGE STATUS INDICATOR
DISPLAY is either solid green or solid yellow. If it is
flashing yellow, disconnect the Remington iLIGHT
device and replace the REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGE.
Refer to “Replacing the REPLACEMENT CARTRIDGE”
in Figure 5.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
The “hour-
glass” icon
is flashing
yellow
and the
Remington
iLIGHT
device is
beeping.
The HAND
PIECE on the
Remington
iLIGHT device
needs some
time to cool
down.
Wait for a few minutes for the Remington iLIGHT
device to cool down. There is no need to shut
the unit down. The hourglass icon illuminates
and the device beeps until the device is ready to
use again.
The room is
too warm for
the Remington
iLIGHT device
to cool down.
Use the Remington iLIGHT device in a cooler
environment, where the temperature is less
than 80° F or 27° C.
