HIP
- arthritis, osteoarthritis, joint pains in the hip area;
- fractures of the neck of the femur;
- osteoporosis;
- edemas and contusions in the hip region;
- post hip replacement.
Regarding the hip, it is very difficult to place the solenoids in an opposed model, so the positioning
is always with the solenoids side by side.
ANKLE
- fractures of the tibia and/or fibula and/or malleolus;
- delays of fracture consolidation;
- edemas and contusions to the ankle;
- ankle sprains.
In the ankle it is preferred the positioning with opposed solenoids. If the trauma is also extended
to the forefoot, place the solenoids always in an opposed way, one on the back and the other one
on the arc of the foot.
FOREARM
- fractures of the forearm;
- delays of fracture consolidation;
- edemas and contusions to the forearm;
- osteoporosis;
- tendinitis.
In the forearm it is preferred the positioning with opposed solenoids. The solenoids can also be
placed above plaster casts and guards.
POSITIONING OF THE SOLENOIDS
KNEE
- arthritis-osteoarthritis and joint pains to the knee;
- post knee replacement;
- after ACL surgery (anterior cruciate ligament);
- post knee cleaning surgery.
Concerning the knee it is preferable the positioning with opposed solenoids, as shown in the
picture above. If it is not possible to place the band in order to make the solenoids parallel to each
other you should place them side by side, above the joint or on the most painful area.
