Install the air vent to the highest point of the system. 

Should there be more places with a risk of air pockets, 

air vents should be installed also there. 
It is recommended to amend the air vent with a local 

pipe widening that calms down the stream and helps in 

good separating bubbles from the fluid (see Fig. 30).
A ball valve shall be always installed under the auto-

matic air vent valve, so that the automatic air vent can 

be closed after the system commissioning. Solar liquid 

leaks can be avoided in case of system stagnation.
For an efficient removal of bubbles from the system it is 

advisable to fit the pump station with an air eliminator 

(see Fig. 29).
