Regency Horizon™ HZ42STE-10 Gas Fireplace

installation

NAILING STRIPS

The side nailing strips come attached to the unit. There are 2 plates on

each side - 4 in total. They can be folded out as required.

UNIT ASSEMBLY

PRIOR TO

INSTALLATION

The Standoffs and Nailing Strips must be correctly positioned and attached

to the firebox before unit is slid into position.

STANDOFF ASSEMBLY

The side, top and rear standoffs are shipped in a flat position and must

be folded into shape and attached.

Remove the standoffs from the fireplace.

Take each standoff and bend into the correct shape. Bend up at the

bend lines until the screw holes in the standoff and the pre-punched

screw holes on the fireplace side line up.

Attach the standoff securely to the side with 2 screws per standoff (on

opposite corners).

Nailing Strips shown folded out.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Framing depth measurement is noted with

the side nailing strips set as far forward on

the firebox as possible. The nailing strips can

be adjusted back up to 3” to allow for varying

thicknesses in non-combustible material & wall

finishes.

INSTALLATION ACCESS PANEL

The unit is equipped with a removable access panel for pre-finish installation

of optional components - this panel is located on the lower front face.

Remove 8 screws to remove access panel.

Easier access to gas connection with panel removed.

Install any optional components with access panel removed.

Reinstall access panel with 8 screws - prior to installing any facing

material

Note:

Access panel is no longer usable once facing material installed.
