Combustible Mantels with
Contemporary Faceplate
Because of the extreme heat this fi replace emits, the mantel
clearances are critical. Combustible mantel clearances from top of
the louvers are shown in the diagram below. Mantel may be installed
anywhere in the shaded area or higher.

Clearances are from the
fi nished edge of the unit or an installed front.
Caution Requirements
The top, back and sides of the fi replace are de fi ned by
standoffs. The metal ends of the standoff may NOT be
recessed into combustible construction.
WARNING
Fire hazard is an extreme risk
if these clearances (air space) to combustible materials are not
adhered to. It is of greatest importance that this fi replace and vent
system be installed only in accordance with these instructions.
