LP Conversion using SIT 885 PROFLAME Gas Valve

THIS CONVERSION MUST BE DONE BY A QUALIFIED GAS FITTER

IF IN DOUBT DO NOT DO THIS CONVERSION !!

Shut off the gas and electrical supply.

2. Remove the safety screen*.

3. Remove the glass door*.

4. Remove the logs, glass, and any other

media* if already installed.

5. Remove the two log supports* and log

grate assembly by removing 2 screws and

sliding the tray forward to remove.

*(See specific instructions in unit manual.)

Each Kit contains one LP Conversion Kit

Installation of LP

Conversion Kit:

11. Re-install pilot cap and pilot retainer clip.

12. Remove burner orifice with a 3/8" wrench.

Use another wrench to hold on to the elbow

behind the orifice. Discard orifice.

8. Remove the pilot retainer clip below the

pilot cap.

10. Unscrew the pilot orifice with the Allen

key; then replace with the LPG pilot orifice,

provided in the kit.

9. Pull off the pilot cap to expose the pilot

orifice.

6. Remove three screws then remove the burner

assembly.

13. Reinstall new burner orifice LPG stamped

#51 and tighten.

15. Push the IFC Box back.

14. Loosen the two Phillips head screws as

shown. They do not need to be removed.

7. Change the air shutter cap. Remove the cap by

removing one screw as shown. When installing

LP air shutter cap, do not fully tighten the

screw so that the cap can be freely rotated.
