Troubleshooting the voltage at the X13 motor comes down to two simple
measurements:
-
If
there is no high voltage present at the motor
-
Then
the voltage loss must be tracked down back towards the manufacturers
wiring and controls.
o
Remember this voltage should be present at the motor with or without a
demand from the thermostat.
o
The allowable voltage variance can be as much as ± 10% of the nominal
115vac or 230vac required per motor.
1. Line voltage
(115vac or 230vac)
which should be
present at all times
with or without a
demand for heating,
cooling or
continuous fan.
Make sure voltage
is present between
the (L) and (N)
terminals as shown.
