Menu settings
Unit
The REF-CLASS GAUGE is factory preset to the pressure unit "bar" or "psi". In the
units menu, the device can be switched to 31 predefined pressure and fill level units
and three user-specific units.
Peak values
The REF-CLASS GAUGE saves the minimum and maximum pressure in the
memory (independently of any selected tare value). The peaks menu allows the
display of the minimum and maximum pressures measured.
Temperature
The REF-CLASS GAUGE is temperature compensated. This menu allows the
display of the temperature measured by the internal sensor. The temperature can be
displayed in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius using the arrow buttons.
Tare
With this option, a constant offset value can be set. For example, if tare is set to 30
bar and a pressure of 37 bar is measured, 7 bar is displayed as the measured value.
A pressure of 27 bar would be displayed as -3 bar. The TARE value is manually set
with the LIGHT and ZERO buttons and depends on the technical measurement units
and the resolution selected for display. The TARE value can be set for the maximum
display range. The bar graph always shows the actual pressure depending on the
entire measurement range, independent of the TARE setting. This is done for safety
reasons, so that even when "0" is displayed, it is obvious that the pressure gauge is
under the corresponding pressure.
Mean value
With this function, the mean value of the pressure measurements for an individually
specified unit of time can be displayed.
Rate
With this setting, the current increase or decrease in pressure per time unit can be
displayed.
Resolution
In the resolution menu, the number of digits displayed can be set.
Damping
In this menu, the damping of the pressure display on the REF-CLASS GAUGE can
be set. One of three different predefined filter settings can be selected. If "OFF" is
selected, the filter is inactive.
Measuring rate
In this menu, the number of pressure measurements per time unit can be set. The
measuring rate affects the accuracy of the pressure measurement device (see
specifications: accuracy).
