g) "Follow me" mode
When operating the model with the hand-held transmitter in FPV operation, you can also use the "Follow me" mode.
If you enable this function, the model will follow the pilot at a defined distance.
Adjust the desired distance and flight altitude at which the model should follow the pilot. Now select the correspond
-
ing symbol on the screen of your smartphone (Figure 16, no. 11, function type selection) to enable the "Follow me"
mode. A submenu will open. Here, select the icon shown in Figure 18, no. 14. To disable this function, proceed in the
reverse order.
The flight altitude and distance from the smartphone (and thus from the pilot) must also be set first by corresponding
flight manoeuvres when the model is operated solely with the smartphone (see also chapter 14 below). To do this, you
must first switch to the "Joystick mode" by first selecting the icon shown in Figure 16, no. 11, and then the "joystick"
icon (see Figure 18, no. 12). Once you have set the desired flight altitude and distance with appropriate flight manoeu -
vres, enable "Follow me" mode, as already described above.
Always make sure that the flight area is free of obstacles when operating the model in follow me mode.
If you enable the "Roll" or "Pitch" function during operation with the hand-held transmitter, follow me mode
will be disabled.
When follow me mode is enabled, the flight altitude and distance from the pilot is possible only to a limited
extent. In addition, the "Yaw" function can only rotate the model by approx. 90°.
