8. Assembling the Model
Before assembling the model, please read each individual section carefully. The construction stages are illustrated for better understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the adjacent figure.
Only carry out the steps described in the different sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to observe.
Attention!
In spite of careful production, temperature and humidity fluctuations may cause the application foil to come loose again in some points and to form
blisters or folds. These folds and blisters can be very easily removed with a foil iron, a regular flat-iron or a hot-air gun. For this, heat the foil in the
corresponding point and push it on with a soft cloth.
Caution when the heat grows too high! Carefully move towards the best processing temperature of the iron-on foil!
a) Mounting the Aileron Servos
Install the stationary bolt (1) to the outer servo lever (2) bore. Only tighten the
retention nut until the stationary bolt can still turn lightly. If required, drill the hole in
the servo lever open to 2 mm.
The unrequired servo arms are removed with a sharp cutter knife.
Connect the servo extension cable (3) and secure the plug connection (4) with
adhesive film.
Use the pre-installed introduction cord to pull the servo extension cable (3) into
the wing. The extension cable should be approx. 60 cm long. Longer cables should
always be shortened to the required size.
If required, the servo cut-out in the wing’s (5) front area can be enlarged and
adjusted to the servo used.
Screw the servos on with the included screws (also see figure 5).
