Code settings for zone allocation
The zone allocation for the sensor is set at the factory. The sensor can be allocated to a different zone as
instructed below.
Unscrew and remove the cover to the jumper compartment on the back of the sensor.
In the area marked Zone Code there are eight pairs of metal contacts, each marked with a
separate number.
The number beside the pair of contacts that are strapped indicates the allocated zone.
The sensor can be allocated to a different zone by pulling out the jumper and inserting the jumper
for the required zone.

Limitations of the alarm system
Not even the most advanced alarm systems can provide full protection from intruders or environmental
impact.
All alarm systems can be disabled for different reasons.
Note that you may experience problems with the alarm system if:
the sensors are not placed within earshot of the places where people sleep, or are placed in
remote parts of the building
the sensors are placed behind doors or other obstacles
intruders gain access via unprotected entrances, where there are no sensors
intruders are able to bypass, block or disconnect the system or parts of it, by using technical
equipment
the power supply to the sensors is inadaquate, or has been disconnected
the sensors are placed in unsuitable environmental/temperature conditions, e.g. to close to a
source of heat.
NOTE!
Incorrect maintenance is the most common cause of alarm faults. For this reason, you should test
the alarm system at least once a week to make sure the sensors and sirens are working properly.
An alarm system may entitle you to lower insurance premiums, but it can never replace insurance.
