DESCRIPTION
The Red Shield garage door sensor triggers the wire-free home alarm’s Smart Panel when it detects that
an overhead door or rolling door is opened.
The sensor consists of a transmitter linked to a transmitter contact by a cable, as well as a separate
magnetic contact.
The sensor triggers the Smart Panel when the two contacts are separated.

ATTACHMENT
Positioning of the sensor:

in a dry place indoors

on the lower part of the garage door and on the door frame

at a safe distance from extreme temperature sources (radiators, ovens, stoves, etc.)

in accordance with the diagrams below.
OPERATION
Starting the garage door sensor

Remove the battery cover and insert 2 new AAA batteries, with the polarity shown in the above
figure, and then replace the cover.

Battery charging indicator: The RED LED on the transmitter starts flashing if the batteries need
replacing.
Installation of garage door sensor

Attach the transmitter to a solid, flat surface on or near the garage door frame with the supplied
double-sided self-adhesive fasteners, or with screw and plug.

Attach the transmitter contact on the garage door frame, directly opposite the magnetic contact
fastened to the garage door.
