• Bend or burn the drill bits,
• Produce off-center or irregular-shaped holes.
• When drilling large holes in metal, start with a small drill bit, then finish with a larger bit.
Masonry drilling
• For maximum performance, use carbide-tipped masonry impact drill bits or designated
impact drill bits when drilling holes in brick, tile, concrete etc. Select impact drilling mode.
• Apply light pressure at medium speed for best results when drilling in brick.
• Apply additional pressure for hard materials such as concrete.
• When drilling holes in tile, practice on a scrap piece to determine the best speed and
pressure. Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the drill bit from slipping off the
starting point.
CAUTION:
• Applying excessive pressure on the power tool does not speed up the drilling process.
Excessive pressure may damage the tip of the bit, reduce power tool efficiency and
shorten its lifespan.
• There is a tremendous force exerted on the power tool when the drill bit begins to break
through the workpiece. Remember to hold the power tool firmly and exert care.
