This text is an addendum to DXT 9000 user manuals. Refer to systems’ units user manuals
for safety precautions and system use.
Before installing this component, please read this instruction manual carefully and keep it
on hand for future reference, as it is to be considered a part of the DXT 9000 system and
must accompany it when it changes ownership as a reference for correct installation.

The COMMUNICATION BOX CB 3002 is part of the gate console BM 3222, and is used in
combination with the BM 3023 desktop console, thus implementing an ideal solution for
general and local calls in airports gates lines.
CB 3002 shall be installed between the BM 3023 console and DXT 9000 amplifiers unit,
and it is equipped with all the electronics necessary to execute BM 3023 types of calls,
namely:
- General call (GENERAL) covering the entire gates line;
- Twin call (TWIN), covering two or more adjacent gates, when used for aircraft boarding.
The selection of this functionality is done statically via jumpers within each CB 3002;
- Local call (LOCAL), directed only to the gate covered by the slave unit which is connected
to the CB 3002.
The LOCAL and TWIN calls are exclusive, and their availability depends on the setting of
specific CB 3002.
