8 .6 Han g the Heater
Residential garages come in a v ariety of sizes,
shapes, styles and methods of constr u ction.
Beca u se of all these v aria b les, it is not possi b le to
incl u de mo u nting hard w are w ith the CGTH-Series
heater. Altho u gh w ooden rafters and joists are the
most common o v erhead str u ct u ral mem b ers in resi-
dential garage applications, other str u ct u ral config u -
rations are also ill u strated b elo w .
In the typical s u spension methods sho w n on Page
21, Figure 10 , lengths of chain are sho w n as a
means of lo w ering the heater.
Whiche v er method of s u spension is selected, the
three req u ired s u spension points m u st b e capa b le of
s u pporting a minim u m of 75 l b s. (33 kg) each.
8 .7 Remove Shippin g Screw from Control
Housin g Door
The b lo w er inside the bu rner b ox has a shipping
scre w installed to protect the b lo w er from damage in
shipping. Before hanging or operating heater, remo v e
the shipping scre w and paper la b el from the control
ho u sing door, See Page 21, Figure 9 . A nylon
w asher inside the control ho u sing w ill fall loose. It is
not mandatory to remo v e the w asher from the control
ho u sing.
