7.2 Air Handler Mountin g to Roof Curb
After the c u rb has been installed, the air handler may be placed on the c u rb. See Page 16, Figure 6 . After the
air handler is in place, the installer m u st fasten the air handler to the c u rb. This is accomplished by drilling
holes do w n thro u gh the floor of the air handler and into the c u rb. At least three #12 sheet metal scre w s
(s u pplied by others) eq u ally spaced on each side m u st be u sed to attach the air handler to the c u rb. After the
c u rb has been installed, the air handler may be placed on the c u rb. The installer is responsible for tying the
air handler to the c u rb per all applicable codes.
