CONTROLS
STARTER KEY SWITCH (G FIG.2)
The starter key should be turned clockwise to the 'pre-
heat' (No. 2) position to heat the glowplugs when the
amber warning lamp goes out on warning lamp
display module turn the starter key clockwise to the
'start' (No. 3) position to start the engine. After
starting, the key should be released and allowed to
return automatically to the 'on' (No. 1) position for
normal running.
CUTTING CYLINDER DRIVE FOOT SWITCH
(NOT USA (A FIG.3)
The cutting cylinder drive foot switch starts the cutting
cylinders rotating after the rocker switch on the
control panel has been used or when the cutting
cylinder has been stopped by raising it out of work.
TRACTION CONTROL FOOT PEDAL (Fig.4)
The traction control foot pedal (A) has a neutral lock
release (B) situated in the centre of the pedal. To
move the machine forward the neutral lock release
must be depressed as the foot pedal is pivoted
forward. To reverse depress the rear of the foot
pedal. When the pedal is released it will return to its
neutral position and lock. If the foot is rested on the
neutral lock lever, the engine cannot be started.
LIFT / LOWER CONTROL LEVERS (A FIG.5)
Each lever lifts and lowers one of the cutting unit lift
arms. To raise the lift arms move the lever or levers
required upwards. To lower move the the lever or
levers required downwards. After operation release
the lever or levers and they will return to the neutral
position.
UNIT COUNTERBALANCE CONTROL (B Fig.5)

UNIT COUNTERBALANCE CONTROL (B Fig.5)
UNIT COUNTERBALANCE CONTROL (B Fig.5)
Cutting unit ground pressure can be varied within preset
limits and is controlled by the handwheel on the left hand
side of the operators seat next to the lift / lower levers.
The handwheel is turned anticlockwise to reduce the
ground weight of the cutting unit and to improve slope
climbing performance.
The handwheel is turned clockwise to increase ground
weight of the cutting unit and this setting will reduce the
possibility of cutting unit "bounce" when working at high
speed on undulating ground. The normal position for this
control is midway between the minimum and maximum
settings.
THROTTLE CONTROL LEVER (C FIG.5)
The lever should be moved towards the front of the
machine to increase the engine speed and towards
the rear of the machine to decrease the engine speed.
NOTE: Engine should be used at full speed.
