8 LUBRICATION
8.1 ENGINE: First 50 working hours
Change Engine Oil.
1. Warm up the engine first and then shut it off.
Remove oil drain plug
(A) from the bottom of
the crankcase and wipe it off.
2. Replace the drain plug and fill engine (B)
with 3.2 litres of oil.
Change Engine Oil Filter (C).
1. Remove single-unit cartridge
2. Apply thin coat of oil to cartridge gasket
before installing.
3. Tighten filter by hand only.
4. Check for oil leaks around the cartridge
gasket after engine is started.
8.2 ENGINE: Every 100 working hours
Change Engine Oil.
1. Warm up the engine first and then shut it
off. Remove oil drain plug from the
bottom of the crankcase and wipe it off.
2. Replace the drain plug and fill engine
with 3.2 litres of oil.
Check Fan Belt Tension.
The fan belt is adjusted so that it has sufficient tension
to avoid undue stress on alternator bearings but does
not slip on the alternator pulley.
1. Loosen alternator bolt and pivot bolt on the
underside of the Alternator.
2. Move the alternator to tighten or loosen the
belt so that a deflection of 7 to 9 mm is
achieved with a load 90N (22lbs).
3. Re-tighten bolts.
