Remote command:
Connection Control Hotkeys
Any interaction with an MS under test requires a CDMA2000 forward signal. As soon
as the signal is available (state ON, no hour glass), connection control hotkeys appear
in the hotkey bar.
The available hotkeys depend on the current connection state. These states are visual-
ized in the "Connection Status" panel of the main view.
Possible hotkeys are:
Hotkey
Description
"Connect 1st SO"
Initiate a connection to the MS with the selected primary service option method.
"Disconnect 1st SO"
Release the connection to the MS.
"Unregister"
Unregister the MS. Afterwards the MS can attempt a new registration or initiate
a connection setup. This feature can be useful if the MS is replaced without
switching the CDMA2000 forward signal off.
"Send SMS"
Send an Short Message Service message. Refer to
"Send Broadcast"
Sends cell broadcast message via PCH. Refer to
"Reconfigure ..."
Sets a primary service option and radio configuration during the connection
established. Refer to

"Handoff ..."
Displays the handoff capabilities of the R&S
CMW. Refer to

Handoff (Hotkey)
The "Handoff" hotkey initiates a handoff of an established call to a different network.
Since a call needs to be established, this menu is only available in the "Connected"
state.
Handoff includes:

Selection of the destination band class and RF channel. These parameters corre-
spond to the band/channel parameters in the source network (see
Channel, Forward/Reverse Link Frequency "

Start of the handoff procedure ("Handoff").
●
Possibly "Cancel" handoff preparations and remain in the original network ("Can-
cel").
