Cut the excessive part of the ribbon with scissors, as shown in Figure 8-17.

Binding effect
Bind cables according to the following requirements:
The cable binding should be neat, clear and artistic. Generally, cables are grouped by
category, tied with string clip, and then taken for upward routing or downward routing
according to the routing at the two sides of the cabinet.
Bind the cables inside/outside the cabinet. The binded cables should be close with each
other and look straight and neat.
Use ribbons of different specifications according to different situations.
Do not connect two or more ribbons and then use it the bind cables, to avoid strength
decrease.
Cut off the excessive part flatly and neatly.
The distance between cable bundles should be 3–4 times of the diameter of the cable
bundle and even.
When twining the cable bundle, bend it with a large bending radius to not break the cores
caused by excessive bend stress.
