ESD wrist strap
Step 2
Tighten the lock, and ensure that the ESD wrist strap is in good contact with skin.
Step 3
Insert the anti-static plug into anti-static jack in the front panel of chassis.
4.2 Installing components
Do wear an ESD wrist strap before contacting the chassis or components to avoid
damage of sensitive components caused by body static electricity. Insert the other
end of the ESD wrist strap to the ESD jack in the equipment room.
The components of the ISCOM6820-GP contain the MCC, subcards, and modules. Install the
components according to the following steps:
Step 1
Check the components connectors and the pins on the backplane. Ensure that the connectors
are unblocked and pins on the backplane non-inversed.
Step 2
Slide the components into the slot smoothly.
Step 3
Wrench the ejector levers on the panel of the component until the baffles at both sides fit
snugly with the fixed strips on the chassis, as shown in Figure 4-3.
