TROUBLESHOOTING:
Damage to the machine that requires major work must always be repaired by a specialist workshop.
Unauthorized work can cause damage. If you cannot correct the problem using the measures described here,
contact an authorized service center.
ISSUE LIKELY THE REASON METHOD OF REMOVAL
The engine cannot
starts the engine
difficult to start, lose power
or engine power changes
The end of the candle is loose or off the
candle
Engine control (fuel supply, throttle, throt-
tle, engine brake, etc.) Not in the correct
position
The fuel tank is empty.
Incorrect startup procedure
The carburetor is overloaded with fuel
The fuel tank vent is blocked
Dirty candle / Incorrect candle clearance
A loose candle. Defective candle
Obstructed air or fuel filter.
Attach the end to the spark plug
Set the correct position Fill the tank with fuel.
Follow the instructions in the chapter Starting
an Engine. Wait a few minutes / Try starting
without a throttle. Clean or replace the fuel
tank cap. Clean, set correct distance between
electrodes - see specification. Tighten the
candle. Replace the candle. Clean / replace
the filter.
The engine overheats Cold air flow is restricted
Remove dirt from the vents of the bonnet, fan
cap and other air ducts
Excessive smoke
generation
With a cold engine This is normal

Check the drive level tension.

If necessary, adjust the drive cable tension
further.
